Hey Friends,
You've probably noticed that my touring schedule has been pretty thin for a bit. This has been intentional because I'm working on my new album and producing a few other projects.
I've written between 30-40 songs and have done demos for about 18 of those.
I'm really excited about the new material. Many are story songs that are in a folky vein. The other tracks are a bit more ambient and experimental.
I've always believed that my responsibility as an artist is to be faithful with the works that I am inspired to create. My artistry has always run a wide gamut, and the challenge at the moment is deciding which tracks belong on the project (and what to do with the others).
I'm hoping to have the album completed and released by the end of the year. I look forward to sharing the new songs with you, and in the meantime I will be playing select dates around Western Canada.
It means a lot to me that you have taken the time to invest yourself in my artistry. Heaven knows that there are plenty of other things that you could be doing at the moment. I'm truly grateful.
In the meantime, I'd appreciate your thoughts and prayers as I go through the creative labor pains.
